Turaukawa and Amiee Bartlett
Turaukawa and Aimee Bartlett are first and foremost proud parents to their son Varden, who lives with Severe Autism.
Turaukawa and Aimee are also proud to have lived experience with Mental Health and Addictions, and having overcome these challenges have dedicated their lives to enhancing the Hauora of Rangatahi in order to enhance Varden’s future Hauora.
Turaukawa and Aimee now run MANAvation Hauora Services supporting Rangatahi Hauora in Secondary Schools in the Hauraki, as well as leading National Māori Workforce Development for Careerforce te toi pūkenga.
Their passion and determination to support Rangatahi Hauora has been recognised with multiple awards with Aimee being awarded the Wintec Academic Excellence award in her training as an Alcohol and Drug Clinician and Turaukawa receiving the following awards
- 2016 ITF Future Māori Business Leader
- 2017 Te Rau Ora - Bob Henare Award for excellence towards Māori Mental Health and Addiction
- 2017 Careerforce te toi pūkenga Top Māori Student
- 2018 Addiction Practitioners Associations of Aotearoa New Zealand - Best Newcomer to the addiction sector award
